The Keystones to Opportunity Grant is Pennsylvania’s name for the competitive grant authorized under the US Department of Education’s Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy Grant. The federal government has written this grant to be funded for five years, but federal funding is not guaranteed for five years. PA has guaranteed funds for two years. The second year of funding will be contingent on completing a successful continuation grant application. This will only be open to districts that have received KtO funding in the first year. GASD is one of only 56 districts in the state to receive funding!
