We take great effort to ensure our website is up-to-date, and filled with resources to help you and your child. Please be sure to check our website regularly for updates regarding transportation, food service, technology, weather, news, and more.  


PowerSchool SIS

GASD utilizes a student information system, PowerSchool, to manage student data digitally. Students, Parents and/or Guardians may access PowerSchool by visiting https://ps.gcasd.org on their computer, or by downloading the PowerSchool mobile app for iOS and Android devices. We highly recommend using the web based version of PowerSchool on a desktop/laptop computer for accessing PowerSchool Registration, CareDox, and SchoolMessenger.

Multiple parents, guardians, or relatives may have PowerSchool accounts should you wish to grant access to your student’s information.  Please contact your school’s secretary for information regarding granting access to additional users. (*NOTE* Kindergarten students will setup their accounts during Kindergarten screenings).


PowerSchool Registration (formerly InfoSnap; accessed from within PowerSchool)

GASD utilizes PowerSchool Registration, a digital system, for managing back to school paperwork and new student registration.  Back to school paperwork, also known as Returning Students Registration, may be accessed from within PowerSchool's Parent Portal


CareDox (Accessed from within PowerSchool)

CareDox is a leader in providing HIPAA- and FERPA-compliant technology to allow crucial health data to be accessible and secure for schools, parents and students. GASD uses CareDox to complete student enrollment paperwork in a digital format.  Student enrollment paperwork is completed each year to ensure information is up-to-date.

To access CareDox, please login to PowerSchool's Parent Portal and click on the CareDox icon located on the lower-left hand side of the screen.

SchoolMessenger (Accessed from within PowerSchool)

GASD utilizes an emergency alert management solution, SchoolMessenger, for notifying you of valuable information (i.e. closings and delays). SchoolMessenger has proved to be reliable and robust, thereby making it an efficient tool for us to keep in contact with your family. To guarantee the messaging system is used efficiently, you will need to confirm your contact information is accurate and up-to-date using the SchoolMessenger portal.

To access SchoolMessenger, please login to PowerSchool's Parent Portal and click on the SchoolMessenger icon located on the lower-left hand side of the screen. (*NOTE* Kindergarten students will setup their accounts during Kindergarten screenings).



SchoolCafé (Lunch System)

SchoolCafé provides a secure, online system for parents to:

  • Make payments to their student(s) cafeteria-meal account(s)
  • View school menus and menu item nutrition information
  • Review your student’s buying history

School Gate Guardian
