About SchoolMessenger

GASD utilizes an emergency alert management solution, SchoolMessenger, for notifying you of valuable information (i.e. closings and delays). SchoolMessenger has proved to be reliable and robust, thereby making it an efficient tool for us to keep in contact with your family. To guarantee the messaging system is used efficiently, you will need to confirm your contact information is accurate and up-to-date.

To access SchoolMessenger, you must first have a parent/guardian PowerSchool account. Next, you will login to PowerSchool and click on the SchoolMessenger icon located on the lower-left hand side of the screen.

How will you be notified?

School Messenger allows our school to send messages using email, voice, and text messaging. Voice calls will be sent with 717-597-3226 as the caller ID number. Text messages will be sent using a caller ID of 684-53. Please note you will not be able to reply to text messages sent from the school.

How do I sign up to be notified?

Configuring your notification preferences is your responsibility. After signing in to SchoolMessenger via PowerSchool, please be sure to review your student's contact preferences. You will be able to see all the contact information our school has listed for your child, as well as be able to choose your communication preferences based on message category, and notification style.
